For people who suffer from acne, there is relief in knowing that there are natural treatments. Acne refers to a skin condition which involves formation of pimples on the skin. It occurs mostly in teenagers though adults are also susceptible. Most natural ingredients can be found from home or are bought from local stores. Natural treatment for acne comes in various forms. Nutritional balance is key when it comes to controlling acne.

Among the most useful treatments involves use of zinc. This is an option for those who do not want to use antibiotics. It has been shown to be very effective. It can be taken in form of supplements. However, it will be important to consult a doctor before taking zinc because it is known to bring about some side effects. Some of the effects include metal-like taste in the stomach and problems with the digestive system.

Among the acne causes is lack of vitamin B5. To control this, one should eat foods rich in this vitamin. Examples of foods in the category are liver, peanuts and peas. Other than the foods, there are also vitamin B5 capsules that also serve the same purpose. Yet another option is to take the vitamin dissolved in water. This remedy is one of the most effective in acne treatment.

The tea tree oil is also an effective remedy. The oil is important and is applied on affected areas through the skin. The application should however be done after diluting it. The oil has an active agent which destroys bacteria which causes acne. Other than tea tree oil, one may use fresh and raw garlic which gets rubbed on the affected area. It is rubbed on the affected areas severally each day. The other option would be to take garlic seeds every day for one month.

There is an option that involves making a paste from peels of citrus fruits. The resulting paste is applied on the acne lesions and washed off after around 15 minutes. When this paste is applied on a regular basis, the acne is bound to go away. In addition to that, applying plain lemon juice on pimples also brings positive results. There is also the option of using herbs such as mint and coriander.

Paste that is gotten from herbs eradicates pimples. The herb known as fenugreek has paste that if applied to the face and left overnight will be beneficial. The paste gets washed in the morning. To get even better results, one should use a mixture of coriander juice, mint and turmeric powder.

One of the reasons that acne do not heal fast is squeezing. There is always the temptation to squeeze them. This only serves to increase sebum production. Besides, membranes that are below the skin will get ruptured. This is likely to lead to infections and also to spread of sebum. There will be more outbreaks.

Application of honey mask to the skin also helps. It will need to be applied once or twice a week. The antibacterial properties disinfect and heal the pimples. This helps those with sensitive skin.
